The members from Craioven of the Association of Photographer Artists in Romania organized an international exhibition dedicated to the International Day of Rock.

The demonstration organized under the auspices of Muzeul Cărții și Exilului Românesc , Primaria Municipiului Craiova , Association of Photographer Artists in Romania, Union of Professional Journalists – Dolj Branch and Casa de Cultura a Studentilor Craiova coincided with the opening of the exhibition on July 13th.

July 13th is the International Rock Day, a lesser-known day, moreover, without knowing how this day came to be considered rock day. On July 13th, 1985, Live Aid was organized, a concert that took place simultaneously in London and Philadelphia, the main goal being to eradicate famine in Ethiopia. Among the participants were artists such as Queen, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Mick Jagger and many others. Both concerts were broadcast live. The first to come up with the idea of declaring this day “Global Day of Rock” was Phil Collins, who took the stage both in London and in Philadelphia.
